General Requirements: To participate in any of the grant or paint programs, homeowners must be owner-occupants, income eligible, and be current on property taxes or on an approved payment plan with the Cuyahoga County Treasurer’s Office.
Income Limits: Homeowners must meet these income limits in order to qualify for any of the grant or paint programs.

Home Repair Grant
For single and two-family owner occupants in the Lomond, Ludlow, Moreland and Sussex neighborhoods to correct exterior code violations; or for seniors 62 and older citywide. Grants will not be provided for any removal of landscaping, shrubs, bushes or trees.
Grants of up to $2,000 are available with a matching requirement of 10%. Income eligible homeowners can receive these grants on a first come, first served basis.
Free Paint
For single and two-family owner occupants in the Lomond, Ludlow, Moreland and Sussex neighborhoods; or for seniors 62 and older citywide.
Exterior paint is available if you have been cited by the Housing Inspection Department for paint violations and meet the income requirements.

The Shaker Garden Collective
The program is currently being re-evaluated. However, you may take advantage of free landscape plans offered by the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes when you use Ohio native plants and organic materials. Available to all rental property owners.
