Shaker Heights Federal Credit Union

Open to City employees and their families, the Credit Union offers more than 60 years of experience to its membership of over 500 individuals.

To open a Regular Share Savings Account, deposit a minimum $5 and become a member. The account earns dividends on the entire balance from the day of deposit to the day of withdrawal, credited and compounded quarterly. The current Regular Share rate is 1.75%. Statements are sent out in January and July.

Loans up to $20,000 are protected by life and total disability insurance.
Members may apply for no more than three loans at one time.

  • Loan term maximum of 60 months
  • Loan interest rate: 2% above Regular Share rate (currently 1.75%)
  • Continue earning interest on your savings!

$ignature Loans

  • Maximum $5,000 for 36 months
  • Maximum $2,000 for 24 months
  • Maximum $1,000 for 12 months
  • Maximum $7,500 with one co-maker for 36 months
  • Maximum $10,000 with two co-makers for 48 months
  • Loan interest rate: 15%
