Block Parties
Do I have to notify the City of my Block Party?
Yes. For safety reasons, both the Police and Fire Departments need to know if a street is holding a block party. Complete your registration online.
How soon should I schedule a Block Party?
Two weeks or more in advance. Less time may limit your request for sawhorses and a visit from the Mayor. Register your block party online.
What time does the Block Party have to end?
As long as no one complains about the noise, you can go past the noise ordinance of 9:00 PM.
Will I receive a Block Party permit?
No. Requests are sent to the Mayor’s office, City Council, Police, Fire and Public Works.
