Chief Administrative Officer

The Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for the City’s day-to-day operations, works closely with the Mayor and City Council, participates in Council and committee meetings and public hearings, and serves as the Clerk of Council. Reviews departmental operating and capital budgets and approves hiring of personnel, expenditure of City funds and use of City facilities.

Residents Invited to Complete New Deer Survey

Dateline: June 4, 2018 - In winter 2016/2017 and 2017/2018, the City implemented a deer reduction program by Shaker Heights Police Department trained marksmen in response to safety, health, and economic concerns about an overabundance of deer in the city. A new survey of residents will help the City identify whether, and the degree to which, the deer population continues to be an issue for residents, as well as the level of control needed to address this issue.

Here Comes the Come, Play! Fest

June 23 street fair to be held in the Moreland neighborhood

Dateline: May 29, 2018 - The City of Shaker Heights will host the first Come, Play! Fest on Saturday, June 23 from 12-6 pm. The Fest takes place on Chelton Road between Hampstead Road and Scottsdale Boulevard, in the Moreland neighborhood. It’s a free, family-friendly event.
