Presentation on Proposed Pedestrian Bridge

Dateline: July 14, 2016 - Shaker residents are invited to a meeting at City Hall on July 25 at 6:30 pm to learn about a proposed new pedestrian bridge in Shaker Heights.

The Northeast Ohio Sewer District will present a proposal to close Andover Rd., located at the west end of Green Lake, to vehicle traffic and replace it with a pedestrian bridge. The bridge would span the same area between South Woodland and Parkland. This is being proposed as part of a larger Shaker Lakes Dam Improvement project which is a component of the Regional Stormwater Management program. The project is expected to start in the winter of 2016/2017. We hope you will attend and share your thoughts.

Dateline: July 6, 2016 - Ingenuity is offering artist-focused programming as part of a new initiative the City of Shaker Heights has undertaken to revitalize the Moreland neighborhood. The initiative aims to attract target businesses and potential residents to the area, create vibrancy in the neighborhood, and build community. The Ingenuity partnership produces programs that will draw interest in the area.

City Names New Finance Director

Dateline: June 7, 2016 - David A. Pfaff will be the City’s new finance director, effective July 12, 2016. Pfaff joins Shaker from the City of Beachwood, where he served as finance director since 1999. He succeeds former Finance Director Matthew Rubino.
