Shaker Launches Recreational Trifecta
April 25, 2008: Three events are scheduled to introduce new or newly renovated recreational facilities to Shaker residents ready to enjoy the beautiful weather in these beautiful settings: Shaker Median Trail, Horseshoe Lake Park and Thornton Park.

Summer Ice Skating Camps Keep Kids Cool When They're Not in School

City Earns Smart Growth Community Excellence Award for STC
April 14, 2008: The Smart Growth Education Foundation (SGEF) presented the City of Shaker Heights with its Smart Growth Community Excellence Award for Mixed Use Development for redevelopment of the Shaker Town Center District.

Shaker Hockey League Tops in Championships
March 28, 2008: Shaker Youth Hockey Association (SYHA) earned seven championships this season, one at every level of youth hockey, and more than any of the other 20 leagues in the Cleveland Suburban Hockey League (CSHL), a division that includes communities from Cleveland to Columbus.
