The City has developed the Shaker Renovator Program to encourage high quality renovations of properties bought by qualified rehabbers.

Incentives include:

• Escrow requirement reduced from 150% of estimated repair costs to 100%
• Free marketing through City website
• No Building Department requirement to provide interior drawings, other than those required by any State law requirements

To Qualify you must:

• Be currently registered as a general contractor with the City of Shaker Heights
• Have done at least two qualified renovation projects in the City of Shaker Heights in the past 18 months
• Be in good standing with the Housing Inspection Department
• Be in good standing with the Building Department
• Owe no property or income tax to the City of Shaker Heights
• Own no properties in Shaker Heights that are in foreclosure
• Have favorable references
