- All required childhood immunizations (aged 0-19 years) available for an administration fee per immunization. The Health Department also offers vaccines that are recommended for children but not yet required such as Meningitis and Hepatitis A at cost plus administration fee.
- Adult immunizations for Tetanus/Diptheria (Td), Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Twinrix (combined Hepatitis A & B), and Polio are available at cost plus an administration fee.
- Pneumonia shots are available all year.
- Flu shots are given by appointment in October and November. For flu shot information or to make an appointment, call the Health Department after Labor Day.

- Seniors with Medicare as their primary insurance may receive the flu shot at no cost.
- Seniors with an HMO through a private health care provider must go to their primary care facility to save paying the fee charged by the City. All others are asked to pay the current price ($25) for the vaccine.

Birth and death certificates for those who were born or have died in Shaker Heights are on file in the Health Department. Certified copies are available for a nominal fee. Burial permits are issued to funeral directors.
