The Police Department strives to work in partnership with the community to make Shaker Heights a safe and enjoyable place to live. Our officers regularly participate in community events and meet with community groups. We’re also pleased to host tours of our station. Engage With Us
Our Community Engagement Unit - supervised by Sergeant Tim Grafton - can help in the following ways:
Provide crime prevention education, including security surveys of homes and businesses.
Participate in your community event, meet with your community group or provide a tour of the station at 3355 Lee Rd. Make a request with the Community Engagement Request form.
Shaker residents and business owners are also invited to apply for the Citizens Police Academy, a 10-week program that offers participants the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes experience with the Department.
