Julianna Johnston Senturia was re-elected to her second four-year term beginning in 2016. Senturia completed a two-year term as Shaker's vice-mayor in December of 2017 and has also served as chair of the Safety and Public Works, Communications and Marketing, Recreation, and Sustainable Shaker committees. Senturia is currently the Executive Director for the Heights Schools Foundation, a nonprofit supporting the Cleveland Heights-University Heights public school system. She is an award-winning Hebrew educator at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple's religious school. She has been active in Shaker organizations for several years, including the League of Women Voters, where she previously served as president; Parent-Teacher Organizations; and the Boulevard Community Association.
Senturia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an Master of Arts in American Politics/Policy and Women's Studies, both from Ohio University. She is completing a Masters in Nonprofit Administration at John Carroll University.
Senturia lives in the Boulevard neighborhood with her husband, Harris, an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission, and their three children.
