Carmella Williams was elected to a four-year City Council term beginning in 2020.

Williams holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix.
Work History
Williams is a Records Management Analyst with Baker Hostetler LLP where she has worked for 18 years. She also served eight years in the U.S. Navy.
Service
Williams serves as chair of the Administration Committee and as a member of the Human Relations Task Force, Recreation Committee, and Safety and Public Works Committee.
Williams served a seven-year term as a trustee on the Shaker Heights Public Library Board, which included a year as vice president. She is co-president of Moreland on the Move Community Association, a member of the Shaker Heights School District’s Strategic Planning Team, the District’s Leading for Equity cohort, and the Shaker Heights Police Department’s Community Advisory Committee. She is also a graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Development Program.
Personal Life
Williams lives in the Moreland neighborhood where she has been active for 20 years. She is also a parent of two.
