Updated September 25: Due to weather constraints, the Cleveland Water Dept. has directed the City and contractor not to start Avalon water main replacement project this year. The primary concern is that cooler temperatures will cause the temporary water main bypass to freeze. This would cause significant inconvenience for Avalon Rd. residents. Residents will receive written notification from the City prior to starting the project in spring 2020.
In mid-September, a water main replacement project will begin on Avalon Rd. between Fernway Rd. and Van Aken Blvd. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-October (weather permitting). Please note:
- Traffic is local access only. Motorists should find alternative routes.
- Street parking will be prohibited from 7 am-5 pm.
- School bus pick up/drop off locations will remain the same.
- Trash and recycling collection schedules will remain the same.
