First Energy Line Clearance Work

Graphic for construction update notice

Two contractors for First Energy will be performing electric line clearance work in the Mercer and Onaway neighborhoods this fall. Line clearance involves pruning tree branches along power lines. The majority of the work is in residential back yards. The contractors will leave door hangers on residents’ doors informing them of the pending work.

There are two areas of work.

  • Townsend Tree will be working in the Onaway neighborhood (view a map).
  • Asplundh will be working in the Mercer neighborhood, as well as on S. Woodland Rd. between Brighton and Carlton roads and on Chagrin Blvd. near the intersection with Norwood Rd. (view a map).
