[ARCHIVED] Phase 2 of 2021 Street Resurfacing Starts Week of May 10

The week of May 10, a contractor will start Phase 2 of the City’s 2021 street resurfacing project. The following roadways will be impacted:

Chadbourne Rd.Ashby to Clayton
Paxton Rd.Shaker Blvd. to S. Woodland Rd.
Albion Rd.Onaway Rd. to City limit
Sebor Rd.Onaway Rd. to Southington Rd.
Douglas Rd.Shelburne Rd. to Cranlyn Rd.


The general scope of work includes:

Step I: Removal of existing asphalt pavement
Step II: Adjustment of catch basin and manholes, replacement of select driveway aprons and installation of new ADA curb ramps (as necessary).
Step III: Placement of the asphalt course
 Step IV: Pavement markings

Please note:

  • There will be no on-street parking permitted between 7 am and 7 pm
  • To avoid delays that could prolong completion of the project, please do not blow leaves or other debris into the street. Please advise landscapers of this request.
  • If your driveway apron is being replaced and it is necessary to park on the street overnight, please call the Police Department at 216-491-1220 or use the online Overnight Parking Request form.

For your safety, the work site will have signs, barricades and warning lights in place. Please follow the traffic patterns they establish. Also, please help keep neighborhood children safe by warning them about the danger of playing in the construction site or on any of the equipment
