The City has signed with a new recycling vendor, Waste Management of Ohio, which has an expanded list of accepted recyclables. Residents can now recycle the following additional items via the City's backyard recycling program:
- Plastic tubs (i.e. butter, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and other similar plastic tubs)
- Aluminum cups
- Some paper and plastic cups. NO wax/plastic lined paper cups (most coffee/hot beverage cups). NO party cups (like Solo and other similar plastic cups). Please NO straws or lids.
These items are in addition to the following list of recyclables the City has been accepting:
- Plastic bottles and jugs
- Cartons
- Cans
- Glass bottles and jars
- Paper/Cardboard
Always rinse recyclables that contained food/beverages. Replace lids (except for cup lids). Toss loose in your recycling bucket. Breakdown cardboard boxes and leave next to buckets.
