Look for 2020 Census Invitations To Arrive This MonthIn mid-March, invitations to participate in the 2020 Census will begin to arrive in mailboxes across the country. Make sure you’re counted! Census data can determine how more than $675 billion are spent by supporting vital state, county and community programs for the coming decade. With this being the first time the Census can be completed online, the Shaker Heights Public Library will have computers available for those who don't have internet access at home. Also, the Library will host Census Day on Wednesday, April 1 from 1-9 pm at both branches. Librarians will be on hand to assist those completing the Census online. ESOP Offering Tax Preparation for Eligible Residents ESOP, Empowering and Strengthening Ohio’s People, is offering free tax preparation for eligible residents every WEDNESDAY through March 25 from 9 am-1 pm. ESOP is a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site for Cuyahoga County. Their staff and volunteers offer free help preparing and filing federal and state income tax returns for low-to-moderate income taxpayers.
