Dear Residents,

In this video message, I encourage residents to engage in the virtual events around the City to celebrate Black History Month, as well as reflect on the past and present contributions and accomplishments of many.

In addition, I highlight three of the City's current initiatives designed to support small and minority-owned businesses: a recent workshop to help small business owners understand the process and value of certain certifications; the Small Business Recovery Grant Program, and the Van Aken Entrepreneurship Initiative.

Also, as a reminder, we must remain diligent about social distancing protocols and mask wearing, even as the COVID-19 vaccine rollout is underway.
