Framework UpdateIn August, City Council adopted a Framework for Maintaining a Safe and Just Shaker, stating the City's intention to, among other efforts, conduct a community-wide Listening Project. Track Leaf Collections OnlineWondering when your leaves will be picked up? Residents can now use a new online map on the City’s website to track when collection crews will be in their neighborhoods. The map will be updated daily through leaf collection season, which runs until mid-December. Find the map at shakeronline.com/leaves.

Get Ready to Vote: Election RemindersPlease note, for the November 7 general election: - Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 6; last day to request a mail in ballot is October 31.
- Polls open 6:30 am-7:30 pm. Photo ID is required.
- Recycle campaign yard signs at the Service Center (15600 Chagrin) on the two weekends following any election.

2023 Heritage Tree AwardsThe Tree Advisory Board is delighted to announce the winners of the 2023 Heritage Tree Award. This year, the committee selected three historic trees that have graced the city neighborhoods for generations. Shaker Schools Facilities Advisory Committee The District is seeking applications for the Shaker Schools Facilities Advisory Committee, which will help guide the implementation of the Long-Term Master Facilities Plan, provide community feedback as the District works to implement the Master Facilities Plan and engage with the broader community regarding the implementation of the Master Facilities Plan. November School Closures There will be no school for students and staff on Tuesday, November 7, due to Election Day.
