Reserving a Pavilion

Residents may reserve the large pavilion for gatherings up to one year in advance by completing the Horseshoe Lake Park Reservation & Permit Form or by calling 216-491-1351. Two weeks advance notice of requested date is required.

The Park is available Monday through Sunday from May through August and in September on weekends only. Reservations will not be taken for Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, but the park will be open and pavilions may be used on a first-come, first-served basis on these holidays.

Permit Limits

Permits are limited to two, 3 hour blocks of time on weekends and 4 hours during the week, for the large pavilion only. For your convenience, restrooms are open from early May through the end of October.

Visit the Reserve a Facility page to learn more about reserving the pavilion and other City facilities.

Paved Trail
A paved trail leads from the center of the park, along South Park Boulevard and over the dam; this trail connects with the 1.4 mile Cleveland Heights trail along North Park Boulevard. (Note: The walkway over the dam is closed until the Doan Brook Restoration project is complete.) The trails in and around Horseshoe Lake Park total 1.3 miles. A combination of paved, gravel, and boardwalk trails are located at the center of the park.

Central Paved Path Amenities
The central paved path provides access to the following amenities:

  • ADA access from the parking area to the picnic pavilions.
  • Natural playground
  • Tree house
  • Restrooms (seasonal)
